O n January 8, 2024, Northern Light Acadia Hospital opened a brand new pediatric inpatient area to address the growing need for inpatient behavioral healthcare. This beautiful space can accommodate more patients and reduces wait times for care. It offers private, single-occupancy ADA compliant rooms, which promote a safe space for the patient to “We have a unique opportunity to expand access to help even more kids and keep them close to home. Additionally, patient rooms previously used by children and adolescents are currently being remodeled to become single rooms for adults, expanding the total number of available beds to 100.
