Building for Maine's Future

W hat is it that makes Maine special? Ask anyone who lives here, and they would agree that it’s the way our communities come together – neighbors helping neighbors – in our times of need. Whether you’re deep within Maine’s remote wilderness, along our rocky coastline, or somewhere in between, we’re always working to ensure you have access to the healthcare you need. Over the course of four years, through challenging and uncertain times, we’ve remained committed to investing in the communities we work and live in, building and modernizing five facilities to provide state-of-the-art healthcare for you. All five of these projects – renovating and consolidating Northern Light Mercy Hospital in Portland, new hospitals in Blue Hill and Greenville, a renovated birthing center and patient rooms in Ellsworth, and a state-of-the-art pediatric inpatient wing at Northern Light Acadia Hospital in Bangor – are more than just brick-and-mortar buildings. They’re community resources that will not only benefit you and your loved ones now, but future generations of Mainers. Commitment to Our Communities

Within these pages is a glance at how this investment is helping make healthcare work for the people of Maine.
